I started my business officially (as in “going full time”) 5 years ago.

That’s when I met @lara_sheldrake who runs @foundflourish. Over the years, Lara and I became friends and she’s allowed me to be her family photographer multiple times.

For me, it’s a huge privilege to be allowed a peek into someone’s family life and be able to document all the big and little moments for them.

In summer, I tagged along with Lara, Rich and their kids to go fruit picking at @roundstone_farm in Worthing. Oh the joys of picking your food directly from the trees and eating them all until your belly hurts.

I used to love berry picking with my mum as a kid. And I could see that same joy in Lara’s kids that day.

Connections are everything. Meet the right people and they will open doors without even being asked.

Earlier this year I met the lovely Daisy from @honeyhouse.club who introduced me to one of my biggest clients of 2024: Bluecrest Wellness.

Thanks to Daisy, I’ve been fortunate to work with the team of Bluecrest for a variety of projects this year. My favourites were hands-down any that involved working with families. It’s the best of both worlds: photographing families while working with a company that cares about using their own images over stock photos.

All these photos were taken for a number of different campaigns for Bluecrest.

I’ve struggled with confidence all my life - for various reasons.

Which is why I love Lauren Currie’s company UPFRONT so much: She teaches women how to channel confidence and use that to achieve their dreams.

Lauren and her team organised an in-person conference in Birmingham this year and I got hired to photograph the day for them.

It was full-on. Early start. Loads of people. Non-stop photo opportunities.

As an introvert, it was draining. However, I only felt that once I fell into bed late at night after the event. Because I was on a high all day, surrounded by an incredible team, a positive attitude and an incomparable atmosphere.

It was the best full-on day an introvert could ask for! Let’s do this again in 2025!
