How to organise your business with Notion

I’ve always been a pen-and-paper kind of person. I love making notes by hand, writing to-do lists by hand just so I can cross them all out when they’re done.
It’s a mess though. If you are like me, you’ll understand.

The amount of notebooks I have, used envelopes with scribbles, pieces of paper with random details that I don’t even remember writing down.
It’s not a great way to stay on top of my business. I might work for you but bit by bit, I fell out of love with this chaotic system.

However, I have a solution now. It’s an app called Notion.

A friend recommended it to me 3 years ago and I was very hesitant to start using yet another app. This time it was different though. Notion is insane – it’s a project management tool that shapes into whatever I need it to be.

Over the past 3 years, I built hundreds of Notion boards. I started by dissecting a number of free boards to see how others use the app. Bit by bit, I ventured deeper into what makes this programme different to others.

What I love most is how I create data once and can display it on multiple pages in a variety of ways. It always looks different and only shows me the part of the database that is actually relevant right that moment. It’s amazing.
Last year, I started doing walkthroughs of my boards with friends who were curious after hearing me rave about the app. I built templates for my friends based on what I showed them. And I’m now finally ready to offer Notion training to you if you want it.

Just to be clear, I’m not affiliated or endorsed by Notion and I’m not a coach. I’m simply someone who learnt a lot about Notion and I can see how many people struggle with organising their thoughts and details for their business and I have something that can help them.

If you’re curious to check out the app, just go on their website and create a free account. It takes a couple of minutes and you’re ready to go. Find some videos on YouTube to learn the basics, download the free templates that Notion has to offer and get a feel for what you can do. I’m pretty sure you won’t regret it!

As a start, I have a free Notion Board for you to try. It’s a 2024 Goal Tracker.

It helps you create a vision for your life and your business over the next 12 months. But instead of just leaving it there, you then get to really focus on those goals bit by bit through a tracker that will help you break down the goal to make it achievable.

To use this board, you ideally want to have to have a basic understanding of the app – it might be a bit overwhelming for you if you’re brand new. But don’t let that stop you!

Over time, I’m planning to release more Notion Boards – some free, some paid – to help you organise your business and track a variety of things. If there is something in particular you’d like to do with Notion, give me a shout, maybe I can help you with it or put it on my list of boards to build for you.

As you can see, I really love this app – it’s totally transformed my business in so many ways. It’s not perfect and I still have a lot to learn but what I know so far, I’d love to share with you! So leave your details below to grab my free Goal Tracker Notion Board and get started!
